Ten-dollar SBS car magnets are available for purchase in the main office. Teachers will use the proceeds
to update classroom libraries with the purchase of new books and materials. Show your school pride
and buy your car magnet today while supplies last!

SBS Lottery applications are now accessible on our website, www.sbscharter.org.

School will close for the President’s day recess on Thursday, February 16 through Monday, February 20.
School will re-open on Tuesday, February 21.

The Community Health Center, Inc.’s Mobile Dentist Program will be at Side by Side to provide oral
health services on Thursday, March 2-3 in the art room. Please see the attached flyers. If your child
already receives care at the CHC on Day Street, you do not need to do anything; the hygienist will
schedule a cleaning for him/her sometime during the time the unit is at school. If you would like your
child to participate, please review the information on the attached flyer and scan the QR code to enroll
your child in services. You may also visit www.SBHC1.com/enroll or call 475-231-6978 for information.

The SSPT in the upper school is organizing a Winter Wonderland dance for 6-8 grade students on Friday,
February 24 from 7-9:30 P.M. DJ Bobby Trehey will provide the music. The admission fee is $7 per
person; students may bring one guest each.

Friday, February 24 is the last day of the marking period.

Do you work or live with teens or young adults? Please see the attached flyer for a list of free, mental
health resources in Connecticut and share it with anyone in your life who may need support.

There will be early release days in March for teacher conferences. Thursday, March 16 and Thursday,
March 23 students will dismiss ninety minutes early, at 2:10 P.M. There are no after school activities on
early release days.
