There will be an early dismissal (1:30 P.M.) on Monday, May 16 for professional development. There are no after school activities on early dismissal
days.
Kindly complete the transportation form for the final days of the school year, which can be accessed via the link below. We are making final
arrangements for school bus transportation for June 20 – June 23. School will dismiss at 1:30 P.M. on the last five days of the school year. Your

Parent nomination statements and ballots have been sent home to families in student backpacks (one per family.) Kindly take a few moments to
review the materials, cast your ballot and return it in the envelope provided to the main office at school no later than 3:30 on Friday, May 20. Our
candidates have prepared thoughtful statements expressing their interest in serving on the board, their professional experience, and the leadership
qualities that make them ideally suited for this role. Please show your support for our school by casting your vote.
Our seventh grade students are participating in a virtual S.T.E.A.M. collaboration this week with museum educators from the Aldrich Museum of
Contemporary Art and the artist Duane Slick, currently exhibiting his work at the Aldrich. Here’s a link to this exhibit.

The next Board of Directors meeting is on Tuesday, May 24 at 5:15.
Field day is scheduled for Friday, June 10. More details to follow in the coming weeks.
Save the date for an end of the year school celebration on the afternoon of Friday, June 17. Flyers will be sent home soon.
Side by Side will offer a summer program, ‘EXCELerate Side by Side,’ for five weeks beginning July 5th through August, 5th 2022 for students
currently in Kindergarten through seventh grade. The registration deadline is June 24, however don’t delay because there are a limited number of
seats available. This program is free of charge but be sure to select SBS when registering; other Carver programs on this registration website
charge tuition.
Please find attached the board approved 2022-2023 school calendar and the SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessments) schedule which will begin in
May. Parents please help your students achieve their best performance on these assessments by encouraging a good night’s sleep and a nutritious
breakfast.
