Mr. L's Word's of Wisdom:
"If you want to get somewhere in life, you are going to have to learn to make some type of sacrifice."
Happy Spring Everyone! We are getting closer to the end of the school year. With that said that means we are starting to prepare for Field Day. I am currently looking for some new ideas to bring to this years event as well as places where SBS can seek donations for Field Day. If you have any input, please contact me here at the school. Thank you.
Lower School: The rules of class are B.L.T. Be prepared, Listen, and Try your best. Parents please remember to dress your children appropriate for class. That is sneakers not shoes and comfortable loose fitting clothing so they can be active. With the winter months, students have been coming to class with snow boots and apparell that is unfit for Physical Education. Please send your children to school with sneakers. Currently students are splitting time with Health learning about Nutrition. On their P.E. days Lower Schools students are taking part in Station Activites were they are working on Throwing, Rolling, Kicking, Tossing, for Accuracy.
Upper School: Students in the upper school are also splitting time with Health learning about proper Nutrition and Exercise. During their P.E. days Upper School students are playing Pickleball, an oversized table tennis like game that we play on the gym floor.
Intramurals
Intramurals is our afterschool program where students in grades 5-8 can come to participate in all sorts of activities ranging from organized sports such as soccer, flag football, baskeball, volleyball, to activites and games like gymnastics, kickball, and ultimate frisbee. Intramurals takes place on Tuesday afternoons from 3:45-5:00 p.m. The current intramural is gymnastics. Pickleball starts March 29th.
