Pre-K

This month both pre-k classes are working on pictures based on the book “The Rainbow Fish”. The classes are practicing using shapes to compose a picture. They are also learning about the color wheel and mixing colors.

Kindergarten is working on creating an underwater scene. The class learned about using shapes to compose a picture. They are also learning about the color wheel and will be practicing color mixing.

|
First grade is working on creating an underwater scene. The class learned about using shapes to compose a picture. They are also learning about the color wheel and will be practicing color mixing..

Second
|
Second grade have viewed the bird prints of John J. Audubon. After they created a clay bird modeled after the different species seen in the paintings. They have painted the birds using a solid color and have decorated it using a matching color.

Third
|
Third grade is learning about creating a self portrait. Students analyzed the face and learned about the correct proportions.

Fourth
|
Fourth grade have viewed the bird prints of John J. Audubon. After they drew birds using photographs from nature publications. They have transferred their drawings to a Styrofoam plate and will be using markers to create a print.

Fifth and Sixth
|
Fifth and Sixth grade continue their study of cartooning and illustration by making their own comic strip. They had to come up with a storyline, characters and concepts sketches before drafting the final comic.

Seventh and Eighth
|
Seventh and Eighth grade will be responsible for designing this year’s yearbook. They will learn how to use computer software that will aide the design process
